Mission Statement

Our mission is to send the "tangible" love of Jesus Christ to his orphaned children throughout the world in the form of a blanket or bear.

Vision

Our vision is to send that warm and cuddly feeling of love through blankets and bears to orphanages in Africa, then Asia and eventually to all third world countries.

Shipment & Delivery

I am waiting on pictures, we shipped little receiving blankets and tiny new bears to a pregnancy crisis center in Romania a few months ago...as soon as I get those in I will post.

But just on Labor Day weekend we had the privilege of meeting up with a group of churches in Laredo, TX and hand delivered 42 teddy bears to boys and girls at a children's home there. It was a very humbling experience, we went to give love to give the tangible love of Jesus to kids through the form of our teddy bears but what God had planned on the trip was for us to receive love. We met up with four churches from Lousiana and brother Price Harris and all they could do was encourage us in our ministry and pray for us and lift us up with their love towards us...and of course the children's home was like heaven with trees planted all along the drive up to the doors set on a beautiful large property and with warm sisters in christ tending to the children. It was beautiful and each child came up to us shook our hands and said they were pleased to meet us..then we grabbed them and hugged them.

After months of waiting we finally got pictures of the shipment to Kenya and to Orphans for Christ in Uganda. The first two pictures are at a larger orphanage in Uganda that is part of Orphans for Christ. The last two smaller pictures are from a small orphanage in Kenya with Pastor Issack handing our blankets and bears. Thanks to all who give to make this possible!!

Spoke again at Highland Park

During the last week of school (before Christmas break) I went and spoke again at Highland Park about mission Blankets & Bears and about "giving" in general. They donated blankets and have more to come! We will be having our donation drive during the spring after all the "holidays" are over.

Gives me the shivers...

We had successfully sent 2 boxes of a shipment to Uganda to an orphanage of 200 children. We had sent 2 more boxes for the complete shipment for all children and the final 2 boxes got stuck in customs...which is something that is a problem we have encountered. Customs was trying to charge us over $500 dollars to get both boxes out. After almost 2 months of prayer customs lowered the cost to $310. After verifying with a larger organization I work with that this orphanage was in good standing this sunday a check came in to almost completely cover the custom charges. I was having lunch with the donator today and she said she just felt God was telling her to donate to us. I told her the story of how I had been praying and wasn't sure what to do with the customs problem and that when her check came to me with that amount I knew it was God saying for me to send the money. She said it just gave her shivers because she knew God had been telling her to give her money. I won't say her name because she knows and more importantly God knows who she is and He will bless her more than any human could in praise for her donation. I pray you will rely on God in prayer and faith and be obedient when He asks you to go or to do. Because of her now all these children will soon be getting a blanket and bear.
